DB Sports Tours Summer Cup Small Sided Games (August 3rd & 4th 2013)

The DB Sports Tours summer cup will take place at the VEC grounds in TERENURE, Dublin.

Age Groups Boys

Category A - Born after 01/01/05 – Under 9’s (2013/14 Season)
Category B - Born after 01/01/04 – Under 10’s (2013/14 Season)
Category C - Born after 01/01/03 – Under 11’s (2013/14 Season)
Category D - Born after 01/01/02 – Under 12’s (2013/14 Season)

FERRY CROSSING

Teams traveling from UK will travel with Irish Ferries or Stena Line and the crossing takes approximately 3.5 hours to cross the Irish Sea. Crossings in the most are from Holyhead and Fishguard / Pembroke to Dublin and Rosslare.

Registration Timeline

  1. To Book a place in the DB Sports Summer Cup 2013, teams must complete an expression of interest form as the first entry form/registration form in our web site. Your teams’ Registration will be confirmed through email as we progress the booking.
  2. Once the registration form has been completed, the organization may contact the person responsible to progress the booking and confirm registration
  3. All team registrations are conditional to the receipt of a non-refundable payment of €120 (7 a-side) and €150 (9 a-side) per team.Book Early & avoid disappointment places are limited.
  4. All teams must be registered and payment made before July 1st 2013.
  5. Arrival and departure information (Ferry Company, Air Company, flight numbers, times of both.) should be sent by email as soon as Travel Arrangements have been confirmed.
  6. One month before the start of the tournament* teams will be asked to confirm the number of participants. Teams are to send a list with the names of all the people travelling, roles in the team, preferred room allocations and any special requests.

PROOF OF AGE

Bring your ID

Each team must submit a list of players to the tournament administration before their first match of the tournament. All players MUST be able to identify themselves and to certify their age with a valid passport or registration card from their respective FA. Teams must be able to present this proof if and when required.

TEAM LIST

Note No players on a team list may represent any other team in the tournament without permission from the tournament director. Random controls on team lists and participant lists will be carried out.

NO SHOW?

Teams failing to appear

Any team that fails to appear at the appointed time and place for a match without a valid excuse will automatically lose the match. If a team repeatedly fails to appear for fixtures, the team may be excluded from the tournament. In special cases, the tournament committee may decide to exclude a team at the first offence - i.e. if a deliberate act of not appearing favours their own team, or is unfair to another team in the group. If any team is excluded from the tournament, previous results will be void.

INSURANCE

Make sure you're insured

Please make sure that all your players are insured, both on and off the playing field. DBsportstours does not carry any group insurance protecting participants in case of injury, illness, theft or damage to property. DBsportstours is in no way responsible for injury or economic loss which may arise in the case of war, warlike events, civil war, revolution or civil disturbances, or because of the actions of the authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades or similar events. Participants from countries that have no medical insurance agreement with Spain must have personal medical insurance. Please note as per DBsportstours terms and conditions, DBsportstours cannot be held responsible for adverse weather conditions, which could result in the cancellation of fixtures by third parties.

REFEREES

Give them respect

Referees and Referee Assistants are qualified officials within their respective country and regions. Teams should be made aware of the following: – DBsportstours and their partners hold their match officials in very high esteem, and without these individuals we would not have a tournament to participate in. Please ensure that respect is given to all match officials regardless of the outcome of your fixture. We will in no way tolerate disrespect given to match officials, and disciplinary action will be taken against any team or individual that repeatedly disrespects the tournament officials.

PROTESTS

Please read

The team manager must make any protest, and no other member of your team or supporters. No protest will be given any consideration unless the relevant procedures are applied. Protests must be delivered to the Tournament Control Point no later than 30 minutes after the match is finished. The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with the play are final. No measures will be taken on protests over decisions made by referees. The final decision of the organising committee is binding.

GENERAL NOTICE

All participants, supporters & club officials are asked to pay particular notice to the following guidelines set out with regard to behaviour, attitude, encouragement and respect while in attendance at the forth coming event of your choice. Please note, DBsportstours has a zero tolerance to any type of racism or lack of respect shown to any tournament officials, participants, supporters, club officials in addition to any individual in attendance at an event we operate.

Parents

Encourage your child to play by the laws of the game. Avoid pressurizing players about winning or losing. Support and encourage all players, including the opposition. Never publicly criticize your child or other players. Do not question decisions made by the match officials.

Players

Show respect and fair play to your opponents. Play within the rules of the game. Encourage, support and co-operate with your teammates. Respect the officials and accept all decisions without question.

Coaches

Give all players, whatever their ability, the chance to play. Always pursue fair play. Accept that striving to win is more important that winning itself. Ensure that matches are well structured and focus on developing skill, decision-making and understanding of the game.

CAUTIONS AND SENDING-OFF

Misconduct

Any player given two yellow cards in a single match will result in a red card. If a player is shown a red card he or she is automatically suspended from participation in the following match. The tournament organising committee can decide about suspension for further game(s). A player who receives two red cards in the tournament will be automatically eliminated from the tournament.
